I have been painting since the mid 1980s. At a relatively young age I grew increasingly enthusiastic about the medium of watercolor, but also of pastels – both oil and soft pastels. I'm autodidact but have an extensive background in arts, digital design, photography and communications. I hold a BA in communications and work as a communication strategist in Stockholm.
I travelled for longer period of times in the late 1980s and painted, not only in Sweden, but also in Italy and Spain. I showcased my works in exhibitions and many of the paintings from that era are in private collections internationally. During this period (1986 to 1998) I painted on a semi-professional basis.
Towards the mid 1990s my family and kids were my focus and I did less painting using traditional media. Instead, I got interested in digital painting and worked mainly with the application Painter and made tutorials on the internet.
However, I always knew I was going to return to traditional media at some point in life. It turned out that time had come again for watercolor painting, when I started doing watercolors at the very beginning of 2016.
I´m now painting on a daily basis and my subjects are portraits, jazz and music inspired motives, cityscapes and landscapes. I paint a lot in and around Stockholm, my hometown, but also elsewhere in Sweden and any country I would visit – including Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain, Turkey, United States and more.
I do portrait painting commissions, but also sell most of my paintings in stock, either as originals or prints.
